Irene Lozano “La Chiqui” is an internationally recognized flamenco dancer. ESAEM teacher in the subject of Flamenco.
Since she was very young she dreamed of being an artist and dancer like Carmen Amaya,
so, at the early age of four, he began his journey into the world of

At the age of 11, she began her professional dance career.

Irene finished her studies in the 2008/2009 academic year, obtaining a degree in choreography in the flamenco modality.
In 2010, he returned to work on a new project, directed and produced by the
Javier Latorre “el duende y el reloj” premiered at the great theater of Cordoba and was later performed at the Festival de Jerez.
During all these years, Irene completed her education by studying with great
dance personalities : Javier Latorre, Eva YerBabuena, Nani Paños, Rafael
Campallo, Aida Gómez, Roció Molina, Mercedes Ruiz, Juana Amaya,
Carlos “Chamorro”, Rafael del Carmen, Marco Flores, Manuel Liñan, Fuensanta La moneta, Daniel Navarro… among many others.

3 consecutive years in the conservatory of Malaga choreographic contests to
provincial and Andalusian level, won the first prize for choreography in the “Málaga Crea”.

In 2012 she is part of the flamenco tablao “Pepe Lopez” as a dancer.
End of 2012 Irene travels to Zurich, Switzerland and decides to stay for 5 years. It was here that she began her creations as a choreographer, director and organizer. She worked as a teacher during these years and prepared dancers of all levels, from the youngest to the most professional, becoming a recognized teacher in the country. During these 5 years Irene combined her work as a teacher in the first place, as an organizer of Workshops starring the most recognized in the world of flamenco today (Javier Latorre, Manuel Liñan, Antonio Canales, Marco Flores, Daniel Navarro, La moneta, Eva Yerbabuena …) and finally as a choreographer and dancer in active. She created 4 shows in this stage, “Cambios de Aires”, “Con otros ojos”, “planta & tacón” and “Calalo” accompanied by great musicians and guest artists such as Daniel Navarro, Javier Latorre and Antonio Canales. In her last show Calalo, Irene was invited to the Bienal de Flamenco de Málaga and to the Festival “Los veranos del corral”, Granada, obtaining great reviews.
In 2014 – 2017 she was hired as a choreographer and artistic director In the dance Company, “DANZAES”.
In 2016 he moved to Jerez to be part of the show “A este chino no le canto” premiered at the Festival de Jerez on March 3, choreographed by Javier Latorre, under the musical direction of the renowned guitarist Chicuelo and with guest artists such as Eva Yerbabuena, Miguel Poveda.
In 2017 the dancer and choreographer closes a great stage in Switzerland and returns to Spain for a few months where she again combined her work as a dancer in the tablaos of the city and her work as a teacher.
In early 2018 Irene plunges into a new adventure and moves to the United States to continue working and achieve new challenges as a choreographer and dancer.
