Javier Valverde and Paloma Azanar are professional dancers and former teachers of Spanish Dance at ESAEM. Below we leave you with the curriculum of both of them:
PALOMA AZANAR
She studied with the best choreographers and teachers in Barcelona, Malaga and Alicante, specializing in Spanish dance, Escuela bolera, Flamenco and Modern.
She worked as a prima ballerina in nightclubs and casinos: Casino Torrequebrada (Málaga), Casino Andalucía de Marbella (Málaga), Benidorm Palace (Alicante). In the latter, she went from being prima ballerina to choreographer of her own company: “Aznar-Valverde”. (Cast of 35 dancers). Galas de Salou (Tarragona), Grand Palace de Lloret de Mar (Girona), several casinos in Portugal, Son Amar (Carmen Mota’s company in Mallorca).
In his career in television, he has participated in programs of TVE, BBC, Canal Internacional de Rusia, La 2…
He has perfected his studies by attending a multitude of courses taught by dance figures such as: Paco Romero, Antonio Canales, La Yerbabuena, Jim Pack, Tona Radeli, Manuel Arenas, Charo López, Manuel Bernal, Encarnación Ortiz…
She has taught as a teacher in different schools throughout Spain:
- School of San Juan de Alicante (Lola);
- Nidia and Salvador School (Alicante);
- Mi Estudio Dance Center;
- Sergio Siderio Dance Academy (Mallorca);
JAVIER VALVERDE
She began her dance studies at the age of 12 in the best dance centers in Arroyo de la Miel and Torremolinos. He took courses with Paco Romero, Pedro Azorín,… in different branches of dance.
Later he studied at the Conservatory of Dance in Malaga, being titled Superior in Spanish Dance by the Conservatory.
She has complemented her studies with teachers from Alicante and Barcelona in the specialties of Spanish dance, Funky and contemporary.
In 1991 he was part of the company of Cristina Hoyos and Manuel Marín for the show “Azabache”.
He has worked in party halls all over Spain, in the hotel chain Cadena Sol and the Sol chain in Marbella as a first dancer. Hotels Sheraton Casablanca, Tivoli World, Casino Andalucía Plaza, Casino Torrequebrada, Benidorm Palace, tents of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Lloret de Mar).
In 2000 he had the opportunity with “Poeta” to show his facet as a choreographer together with other choreographers to mount the show “Voalá 2000”. (repeated for 4 years due to its great success).
In 2002 he traveled to Moscow and Siberia with the show “Con el Alma” to great success. In 2003 she performed the show “Sueño Flamenco” and in 2004 she joined Carmen Mota’s Company.
In television, he has participated in programs of Televisión Canaria, Canal Sur, Canal Benidorm, La 2, Canal Málaga…
