Pablo Puyol is a famous actor and singer, and well known in our country for starring in numerous films and TV series. He is also part of the cast of artists of very well known TV programs of the current TV grid.

He began as a professional actor in the musical Grease, which premiered at the Teatro Lope de Vega (Madrid) in February 1999, directed on stage by Luis Ramírez and Ramón Oller and musically by Alberto Quintero. She later participated in another musical, Rent.

After several roles in series and short films, he was part of the cast of the series Un paso adelante.

He was part of the musical group derived from that series, called UPA Dance, which sold close to 600,000 copies. They toured throughout Spain. The group then broke up at the end of 2004, and in 2005, the series ended. In 2007 he worked as Gaston in the children’s musical inspired by Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

He also worked in the last season of Los Serrano.

Album-Debut

Their first album was entitled Déjame, an album that moved away from the group’s Pop-Dance style, and focused on hard rock. The album was released in mid-April 2005 in Spain, failing completely in the Spanish charts. The album reached number 147 and the single Déjame reached number 102. The album sold less than 2,000 copies in Spain. In Italy and Portugal, countries where the series Un paso adelante was also broadcasted, his debut album was released, but with the same success. The album entered the charts in France, where two singles were released. He performed several radio concerts throughout France.

Cinema

Pablo has been alternating between theater and film projects.

In the short film En malas compañías (2000) he played the role of “Asier”.

She appeared in 20 centimeters, a musical film about a transsexual who suffers from narcolepsy and falls asleep at the wrong time. The film was very risky in combining comedy, gay themes and singing and dancing parts, and was a failure in the 2005 box office rankings.

Subsequently, the film Chuecatown was released, which narrated the life of Madrid’s popular gay neighborhood. Pablo has a prominent role, as a real estate agent with few scruples…

More recent film projects include Clandestinos and La conjura de El Escorial; the latter, directed by Antonio del Real, will be released at the end of 2008.

He is currently shooting in Malaga Prime Time, a psychological thriller directed by Luis Calvo Ramos in which he shares the bill with Leticia Dolera, Alberto Amarilla and Ana Álvarez.
